Plaza del Mariachi

Monterrey City Hall reached out to UrbanMobilia to collaborate in the remodeling of Plaza del Mariachi, located in front of Parque Fundidora.

Production Technique

This project involved the design and manufacturing of all the urban furniture, benches and the kiosk’s roof engraved with musical motifs. The engraving was achieved using laser cuts on the steel, considering both aesthetics and functionality.

Objective

Plaza del Mariachi will promote Mexican traditional music in Monterrey; in this square musicians can offer their services or even do live shows. It’s located on the Acero neighborhood, in Madero Avenue and Prisciliano Elizondo Street, right in front of Gate 4 of Parque Fundidora.
